Starting in Milngavie and ending in Fort William, the 96-mile (154 km) route takes in a wide variety of scenery, from country parks and loch shores to open moorland and rugged mountains. The route is usually walked from south to north, with the southern stages providing an easy introduction to the more challenging terrain in the north. Most people spend five to nine days hiking this incredible route, taking in the stunning views and relishing the challenge of the terrain.
