More about me
The face behind the adventures

I’ve always loved being outdoors! As a child, I went on countless trips with my parents, especially in the summer by bike (more on that below). I bravely made it through kindergarten, school, and vocational training. I loved spending time with my friends, but I found true happiness outdoors, on adventure trips! After finishing my apprenticeship, I was eager to take the opportunity. I invested my first earnings in what was, up to that point, my most exciting adventure: at the tender age of 20, I decided to fly to the U.S. all by myself to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. Since then, there’s been no stopping me—the feeling of freedom is indescribable and, for me, essential to life.
Why
Traveling alone

A Duck to Water, a Child to Wheels
For me, it was simple. My mom couldn’t be pried off her bike, even when she was pregnant. Once I was born, I was put in the bike trailer. That’s how I embarked on my first cycling adventure. I had a doll under my arm, a Harmonica in my mouth, and a potty in the back of the trailer. I turned three on my first ride. The first time I rode my bike on an adventure tour by myself was when I was seven or eight. My teddy bear sat on the luggage rack wearing a helmet, and I kept my fellow passengers entertained with my flute. Back then, people thought my parents were crazy. Cycling through the Czech Republic with a child! Today, they call me crazy. A woman on her own!
From Cyclist to Hiker
After years of cycling through the Czech Republic, these trips eventually didn’t feel quite as adventurous as they used to. We’d long since left the camping stove at home and lightened our load, since camping wasn’t as popular with my parents anymore. The Czech Republic was affordable enough to eat out instead of cooking for ourselves, and to stay in hotels instead of camping. In search of that old sense of adventure, I decided to try hiking. I wanted to sit in front of the tent again and cook meals on the camping stove. To crawl into my sleeping bag, exhausted, at the end of the day. So I decided to pack my things into a backpack and go on my first “real” hike: the Pacific Crest Trail!
